While you’ve seen her on TV and multiple magazine covers, this Aussie beauty is also an acclaimed lingerie and jewellery designer and speaks multiple languages (she’s learning Spanish right now!), so clearly we’re talking about a woman with lots of energy and focus but the one thing Annalise Braakensiek is most passionate about is keeping a healthy lifestyle in balance.  For her, this means preparing and cooking nutritious meals from scratch (and she doesn’t scrimp on taste either) and fitting in meditation and exercise every day.

How does she do it?  Annalise uses meaningful ways to keep on track – a beautiful yoga mat which travels with her, her grandmother’s wooden bowl to serve her favourite salad and of course technology.  She recently signed up to Priceline Pharmacy’s Health Tracker – in this video she talks about how the suggestions on the website which perfectly suit her own lifestyle philosophy. Want to check them out yourself? Just go to Priceline.com.au

Here’s what she has to say:

The old saying “you are what you eat” rings true to me. Because when I’m eating well I feel fantastic and when I eat the wrong foods, I feel terrible so, it simply makes complete and utter sense to eat well all the time – and for me that means a balanced organic – if not biodynamic – meat-free diet.

Managing a healthy lifestyle is all about balance of course I like to meditate twice a day, and fit in one to two sessions of training if I can  – I find it’s important to make sure you keep in shape physically, but mentally and spiritually as well.

A great tool when it comes to taking control of your lifestyle is the Priceline Pharmacy Health Tracker.  I signed up online recently…it’s really quick and easy to do.

I did the short survey to get my health score, then checked through all the different programs that were tailored just for me!

The varied menu suggestions are fantastic – and what I love most, they completely match my lifestyle.  Let show you some of my favourites.

I start every day with a glass of purified hot water and lots of lemon juice squeezed in there.  That’s a tip my beautiful Nanna passed down to me!

With bananas in season – and these are from the banana tree out back – I can’t resist a healthy breakfast smoothie. High in proteins, delicious and satisfying.

Frittatas are a fabulous quick and easy high in protein – a delicious snack.

I love it straight out of the pan… but I also love it served cold with a side salad and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Legumes, nuts and seeds feature heavily in the recipes in Priceline’s suggested dishes too. I love these ingredients not only for their taste and texture, but for their health benefits – including weight-loss and heart-health.

Did you know you can get your blood pressure and weight measured at one of Priceline Pharmacy’s Health Stations around the country?

I did it… and they emailed me the result straight away – and guess what – I’m tracking well.

These are just some easy ways I keep my healthy lifestyle on-track – you’ll find out all the information at the Priceline website

Good luck, and much love and health.
