Why Eating More Fat Will Help You Lose Weight

Having grown up on a biodynamic farm with animals as friends instead of a food-source, it’s no wonder Annalise follows a healthy lifestyle with a cooking motto being ‘All the flavour, with no guilt’, but with a minimum of twice-daily workouts, how does this powerhouse woman keep on track with health goals and motivation?  It’s a mixture of yoga, Pilates, power walking, dancing and surfing which keeps her mind and body in shape – but Annalise’s passion for health is obvious in the kitchen too.  She loves finding creative and delicious meals to cook for friends and family using the best of organic ingredients and many home-grown and prepared from scratch.

She travels the world for work, so keeping track of her goals, remaining motivated and focused is made easier with tools like the Priceline Pharmacy’s Health Tracker – she joined up to the program recently and loves the results.

This Is What A Balanced Lifestyle Looks Like

Want to hear how Annalise manages to balance her hectic working life with a health and fitness regime?  Just press ‘play’. But if you’d rather read what Annalise has to reveal about how she keeps her healthy lifestyle on track, check out the transcript here:

Let’s talk about getting fit, eating a balanced diet and keeping track of a healthy lifestyle!

One of my favorite thing about my lifestyle is that no two days are ever the same, so depending on my work commitments and my energy levels and where I am in the world, I will happily train twice a day,

I love yoga, Pilates, surfing, dancing, power walking – you name it – exercise makes me feel fantastic on every level so I try to get much in as I possibly can.

Yoga is something I can’t imagine my life without!  It helps me to keep in balance body, mind, and soul.  Yoga is such an incredible tool and I’m so grateful to have been taught it and have the capacity to practice it regularly.

I also love Pilates…I find it beneficial to lengthen, tone, strengthen and is especially fabulous to heal injuries.  Pilates is great on its own but I find it particularly compliments my yoga practice.

When it comes to the great outdoors, nature is its own stimulant of course and a power walk means you can clear your mind, raise your heart-rate and get some fresh air all at the same time.. for me ( and for so many of us, I’m sure) being time poor, I like to take the opportunity to multitask, and learn Spanish or have a natter to my loved ones whilst walking.

Keeping on track with your health goals is important too, helping with focus and motivation.

I’ve signed up with Priceline Pharmacy’s Health Tracker. It’s so quick and easy, and it’s free. You just sign up and complete a short survey to get your health score. Then simply join a 12-week program tailored to your needs. Happy Days!

And to make it even easier, there are meal and activity planners to help you smash through to your goals faster.  But it’s not just about the exercise – it’s about one of my favorite things – which is cooking and eating healthily!

I’m allergic to wheat and dairy products and I choose not to eat meat which has made me a very passionate and creative cook to say the least.   My food motto is “All the flavor and none of the guilt”. I love cooking delicious meals using ‘me-friendly’ alternatives such as goat, sheep or soy yogurt instead of cow products.  I use rice and almond milk, spelt, malt and quinoa.. and the list goes on.

Did you know you can get your weight and blood pressure measured at one of Priceline Pharmacy’s Health Stations around the country? I did – and they emailed me the results – and I’m right on track …yay.

These are just some easy ways to keeping an improved lifestyle on-track.

You’ll find ALL the information on the Priceline website.

Good Luck! And much love and health.
