Stop Thinking You Are A Camel And Hydrate. Here’s How

Feeling tired, sluggish and your skin is as dry as sand paper? Well, they are all telltale signs you are dehydrated. I regularly mistakenly think I’m a camel and can miraculously store water. And, I’m often sooo very, very busy, you see, that I don’t even have time to drink water, well enough water that is.

But as my nutritionist told me it’s not just fatigue and dry skin that result from a lack of H2O. It’s also more difficult to lose weight if you are dehydrated. Okay, so now she really has my attention. So, once I realised I needed to stop thinking I am a camel and start drinking more water than coffee; I discovered it’s harder than you think. Much harder.

Not sure why but I often equate drinking lots of water as a boring activity. It’s so much more fun to prepare a smoothie or a ginger and turmeric tonic even though paradoxically it requires more effort.

My nutritionist persisted, saying: ‘This is a needs must … get on with it, make a recording of how much you drink and when.’

Then, I discovered a new product on the market called Plant Water that put the fun back into hydrating and plenty of minerals and vitamins too. It’s a bit like the water was designed by Dr Seuss’s Grinch because it’s made to match his pot-bellied, furry, pear-shaped yellow green colour.

Don’t let that put you off though. Think green is good.

According to the founder Jordan Coulter, it comes with ingredients that can boost immunity and energy levels, promote cell recovery, and aid with cognitive function. All that in a minimalist glass bottle. Jordan says it was mindfully created to extract the rich life source from plants, chlorophyll specifically. Plant Water embodies an additional 18 natural nutrients that support total body wellness. And this bottle of goodness emerged out of Sydney’s Bondi area so that’s got to make it even better.

Then, I realised it also tastes good. I can even taste the Vitamin C. I started handing it out to my friends and they loved it too. And, I’m now fully hydrated. Now, even the Grinch would be happy with that.
