This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a CBD hotel and one of Melbourne’s fastest-growing Pilates studios are joining forces. They’re inviting you to roll out a mat, breathe deeply and give to a charity that makes sure no one faces breast cancer alone.
We all know the feeling. The diary is full, the inbox is overflowing and the first thing to go is the hour we promised ourselves. This October, Dorsett Melbourne and Wildsoul Wellness want to change that, and they’re raising money for a very good cause while they do it.
Pilates for a Purpose is a month-long wellness series for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s open to hotel guests and the wider Melbourne community, and every dollar goes to the Think Pink Foundation. Think Pink is an independent Australian charity that gives free psychological, emotional, physical and practical support to people affected by breast cancer and their families.

From the studio to the city
The partnership takes Wildsoul Wellness out of its own studios and into Dorsett Melbourne’s wellness floors in the West Side Place precinct. It starts with an intimate launch on Wednesday 30 September, when Wildsoul will lead a private class for invited guests.
Then the doors open to everyone. On Saturday 3 and Saturday 17 October, Wildsoul instructors will run 45-minute classes by donation. Each one blends dynamic, full-body mat Pilates with breathwork to open and close the session, then finishes with a guided stretch to unwind.
There’s a lovely bonus too. Everyone who comes to a class gets free day access to the hotel’s wellness facilities, including the heated indoor pool, spa, sauna and steam room. Few Saturday mornings in the city offer more for a donation.
If you’re staying at the hotel, you can borrow a Wildsoul yoga mat by donation. It’s an easy way to keep up your practice, or just to find a quiet moment, while you’re away from home.
An urban hotel with wellness at its heart
Dorsett Melbourne has made wellness part of its identity. It has two dedicated wellness floors with an indoor heated pool, gym, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
“At Dorsett Melbourne, we believe wellbeing should feel accessible and easily woven into everyday life, whether you’re travelling, working or simply taking time for yourself,” says Stephen Cane, Area General Manager for Dorsett Australia. “Partnering with Wildsoul Wellness allows us to bring that philosophy to life in a meaningful way throughout October, while supporting the incredibly important work of the Think Pink Foundation Living Centre.”
“This partnership is incredibly personal for me”
For Wildsoul brand manager Chelsea Newton, the cause is close to home.
“My mum is a breast cancer survivor, fifteen years free and counting, and we count our lucky stars for her strength every single day,” she says. “What has always stayed with me is how much strength comes from having the people you love around you, and that sense of community is really at the heart of what we’ve created at Wildsoul.”
Fitness industry veteran David Altamura co-founded Wildsoul in Melbourne in 2021. It combines reformer, mat and hot Pilates with recovery treatments such as contrast therapy, infrared saunas, ice baths and red light therapy. It now has seven Melbourne studios and plans to expand into New South Wales and Queensland in 2027.
“Wildsoul was built around bringing people together through movement, recovery and wellbeing, so Pilates for a Purpose feels like a very natural extension of who we are,” Newton says. The studio will also hold its annual Pink Pilates event on Sunday 25 October.
Why it matters
Every dollar raised supports Think Pink’s Living Centre. It’s a non-clinical space built around wellness rather than illness, where people can get professional counselling, wellbeing programs and practical support from diagnosis through treatment and into survivorship.
“For someone going through breast cancer, the impact extends well beyond treatment. It can affect their emotional wellbeing, physical health, family and everyday life,” says Natalie Sova from Think Pink. “At Think Pink, our focus is making sure no one has to face those challenges alone.”
Because Think Pink is independent, donations are what keep its services free. You can stretch, breathe and swim this October, and your donation helps someone who needs it most.
